Family therapy aims to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and equip families to navigate challenging situations such as loss, illness, or behavioral issues. It strives to create a healthier, more supportive home environment. In cases where a family member faces a serious health condition, therapy can provide education and address the unique challenges of caregiving.

In family therapy sessions, the focus is on understanding the family’s interactions and communication patterns as a whole, rather than focusing on individual members. Therapists who work as a team can demonstrate healthy communication and interaction styles for the family to learn from.
